Overlooking the landscape.
Fall! A perfect time of year to be in Ontario. Took a little walk the other day and happened upon this lookout. Actually, I don't know what they are called, so I attached a pic at the end of this post. I've seen them and understood their use for hunting, but wow. What an idea for photography to get an elevated view.

I got out for a few scenic excursions this autumn and here is one of the frames I came back with.

Apple basket, shot into the setting sun behind some spruce trees
It's that time of year! And for the first time, we have trees on the property we can pick ourselves. We gathered about 40 lbs of apples in ten minutes of ground level picking. Still loads more up high!

Niagara Falls View from up Close by Chris Gardiner Photography
Another one from Niagara Falls. I've shared a few before, and this likely won't be my last. You can go there and feel like you have been tourist-trapped from the moment you park, or you can go in search of those views where you block out all the rest of civilization.

Here's a little clip showing something new I tried in the time-lapse realm of things. I haven't really heard of or learned it from anyone, just related to blending layers and exposures in photoshop I guess really.
So read on for the what, the why, and all that stuff.
